The Vitruvian Man is an iconic pen and ink drawing by Leonardo da Vince c. 1487 during the Renaissance. This world-famous artwork depicts a man in two superimposed poses within a square and a circle revealing the Proportions of Man. Vitruvian Man is but one of many examples of how Leonardo da Vinci enjoyed mixing art and science. To this day, Vitruvian Man has been employed as a symbol for science and medicine. The Vitruvian Man has also inspired a multitude of other artists in drawing their own version. Our version of Vitruvian Man features a Mixed Martial Artist sporting MMA gloves and shorts.
